CAT 2025 examination date is November 30, 2025. The CAT 2025 official notification was released on July 27, 2025 on the IIMCAT website at iimcat.ac.in. IIM Kozhikode will organize CAT 2025 in online mode across 155 cities. The CAT 2025 scores will be accepted by 21 IIMs and more than 1200 B-schools across India for admission into various PG management programmes.

What is CAT Exam?
Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national level management aptitude test conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) for admission to MBA and other postgraduate courses offered by its 21 campuses (NITIE Mumbai has been added to the cluster and has been renamed as IIM Mumbai). CAT examination is a speed based test that includes questions from Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA). Difficulty level of the examination is moderate to high.
- CAT is a computer-based test conducted at more than 155 test cities and 400+ test venues
- CAT exam duration is two hours. Time allotted for three sections is 40 minutes each.
- CAT exam is divided into three sections of Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension; Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability
- CAT Exam score is mandatory requirement for IIM admissions. IIMs do not consider any other exam like XAT or GMAT for two-year full-time MBA/PGP admission.
