How To Fill the GATE 2026 Registration Form Through The GOAPS Portal?
Go to GOAPS Portal: Visit gate2026.iitg.ac.in and click on “Register.”
Sign Up: Enter your name, email, and mobile number to get an Enrollment ID and password.
Log In & Fill Form: Provide personal details, academic information, paper choice(s), and exam city preferences.
Upload Documents: Submit photo, signature, category certificate (if any), and degree/provisional certificate as per guidelines.
Pay Fee: Use net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI to pay the application fee.
Submit & Save: Review all details, submit the form, and download the confirmation page.
Correction Window: Limited edits may be allowed in November.

GATE 2026 Application Form Status
- Visit the official website and navigate to the GOAPS portal.
- Enter your enrollment ID/application number and password and submit.
- The application status will be displayed on the screen.
- If the applicant’s form is under scrutiny, personal instructions regarding the discrepancy will be sent to the candidate’s registered email ID. Candidates will be allowed to make necessary changes within the stipulated time.
GATE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To appear for GATE 2026, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Educational Qualification: Must have completed 10+2+2, 10+3+1, or be in the third year or above of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, science, technology, commerce, arts, or humanities.
Age Limit: There is no age restriction for GATE.
Paper-Specific Criteria: Eligibility requirements may vary slightly depending on the paper chosen.
Document Proof: Candidates must upload valid proof of eligibility while applying; applications without proper documents will be rejected.
For International Candidates
Applicants currently in the third year or higher, or those who have completed a relevant bachelor’s degree in the above-mentioned areas, are also eligible to apply.
GATE 2026 Exam Syllabus & Pattern
- The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted entirely in English.
- The question paper will include three types of questions:
- MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions): Only one correct answer.
- MSQs (Multiple Select Questions): More than one correct answer possible.
- NATs (Numerical Answer Type): Candidates type the answer using a virtual keypad.
- All questions are objective-type and test both your knowledge and accuracy.

Calculus: Single/multivariable functions, limits, derivatives, maxima/minima, Taylor series, integrals, vector calculus

Probability & Statistics: Probability theorems, distributions (Poisson, Normal), regression, descriptive statistics
